  • Duties: Provides reliable support to Air Force Medical Operations Agency (AFMOA) Medical Expense and Performance Reporting System (MEPRS), manages personal performance; may act as a resource for others within the team. Using knowledge of the MEPRS, applies technical expertise to ensure effective and efficient operations of the Air Force Medical Treatment Facilities (MTFs). Understands and works to anticipate customer needs. Proactively seeks customer feedback and input to improve customer service. Performed Program Manager and Analyst duties.   • Establish and maintain key performance indicator metrics to monitor workload and expense of seventy four Air Force facilities using EASIV Repository and M2. Provides analysis of monthly MEPRS data, if data anomalies are identified MEPRS Program Managers (MPMs) contacted. Provides guidance and training to MEPRS MPM if data problems are identified.
  • Design, create, and maintain an automated dashboard/report card to track key performance indicators that allows AFMOA Leadership and MTFs access to both summary and detailed level information by MTF or major command. Developed detail expense and workload reports that provide MTF personnel a tool to better understand their data and easily identify issues. Created a feedback mechanism for MTFs to respond to any data anomaly identified in the dashboard. Apply statistical methods to perform monthly analysis of Air Force MTF data, discuss any data outliers with customer. Contact MTF to discuss findings and, provide assistance or guidance to correct data variance and/or errors if required.

  • Duties: Performs financial analyst functions on policy, operational issues, and programs. Responsible for analyzing TRICARE contracts affecting Army catchment and non-catchment areas, in particular the areas that fall under the North contract. Responsible for financial analysis of business case initiatives and Business Plans submitted by Army Medical Treatment Facilities (MTFs).
  • Oversight of North Region entails monitoring financial issues, purchased care trends affecting the region s $165M funding target for MTF enrollees.   • Duties: Serve as a Program/Management Analyst, analyzing medical treatment facility operations to ensure that AMEDD cost projections (capitation budgeting, Status of Approved Resources, and bid price adjustments) were accurate and that they reflected current cost data from the Medical Treatment Facilities (MTF). Served as a staff advisor for the Army Medical Command (MEDCOM), provide expert advice to Army organizations on the interpretation of regulations, policies, and their application to specific situations regarding the MEPRS. As the Army's MEPRS authority, Represented the Army on all MEPRS related issues including developing and maintaining automated systems and setting Medical Expense and Performance Reporting System (MEPRS) policies with Tri-service work groups. Responsible for the design, implementation and maintenance of the Expense Assignment System Version III (EASIII), Defense Medical Human Resource System (DMHRS), Army Health Care Financial Management System (AHCFMS), Workload Assignment Module (WAM), and the Uniform Chart of Accounts Personnel Utilization System (UCAPERS).
  • Recommends regulations changes or additions to meet Army requirements on issues such as data collection and cost distribution methodology for ambulatory procedures visits, observation care, and small hospital study. These changes are in the form of issues that are presented to the MEPRS tri-service work group or other tri-service workload committees and if adopted are published as Health Affairs guidance.
